The legislation also included multi-year spending authorizations for certain initiatives, such as addressing Amtrak's budget shortfall. Rep. Burchett released the following statement after he voted against the measure: "Congress had nine months to figure out how to fund the government in fiscal year 2021 only to reveal a short-term funding bill at the last minute. It was impossible to thoroughly assess all the pork-barrel spending in this bill in the 40 minutes between its public release and floor vote.
