Members will examine how those bans make life less affordable for households, small businesses and communities, including by causing utility prices to skyrocket and straining U.S. electric grids. “Natural gas is an efficient, cost-effective fuel source for homeowners and businesses all across America. The bans imposed by state and local governments increase energy costs while limiting cheaper options, making household and utility costs much more expensive. These bans also have broader ramifications beyond just those states. Democratic politicians who push for natural gas bans while claiming outrage over the increased cost of daily life have shown that they put the interests of climate zealots above Americans who rely on affordable energy to maintain their livelihoods.
