This legislation would re-establish a clear and fair set of guidelines for buyers and producers to follow in order get their goods to market. Illinois is home to some of the best farmers in the world who produce products of the highest quality and help feed folks around the globe they deserve a fair playing field, said Congresswoman Bustos. The Grain Standards Reauthorization Act is critical to providing them with the support and certainty they need to remain competitive after facing years of unpredictable weather and reckless trade wars under the current Administration. I was pleased to see it pass with broad bipartisan support today and will continue to fight to strengthen our rural economy. The current authorization of the U.S. Grain Standards Act is set to expire on December 11, 2020.
