Byrne said:Hurricane Sally caused significant damage and imposed significant hardships throughout Southwest Alabama, but the federal government has been totally committed to help us through this tough time. I am thankful that USDA has approved this latest round of assistance, and I encourage residents of qualifying counties to check on their eligibility and apply if eligible. The online pre-screening form for disaster food assistance for non-SNAP households affected by Hurricane Sally in Baldwin and Escambia counties can be accessed from 6:oo am 7:00 pm through Friday, October 9. Mobile County residents will be able to access the pre-screening form beginning on Tuesday, October 13. DHR will determine eligibility based on a household's income, resources, disaster-related expenses, and other circumstances. The agency will certify eligible households for 1 month and issue the maximum allotment based on household size according to FNS' Fiscal Year 2020 Disaster Gross Income Limits.
