https://calvert.house.gov/media/press-releases/rep-calvert-statement-2020-presidential-election Rep. Calvert Statement on the 2020 Presidential Election 2020-11-19 2020 2020-11 Republican House CA Ken Calvert C000059 calvert.house.gov calvert https://calvert.house.gov/media/press-releases scraper Today, Congressman Ken Calvert (CA-42) issued the following statement regarding the 2020 presidential election: "President Trump, like any candidate for office, has the right to ensure vote counts are complete, accurate and legal. It's ironic that many who are criticizing him for exercising that right are the very same people who sought to delegitimize his presidency with demonstrably false claims of Russian collusion. Overall, I believe the election was fair, but any time you change the rules while an election is underway – as we saw in many states due to the pandemic – there will inevitably be legal challenges, which our courts will ultimately resolve. At the end of the day the winner of our presidential election isn't determined by candidates, political parties, or the media, it's determined by the certification of results by states and those results are then reflected by the Electoral College vote. I will certainly respect that outcome." 1 2026-03-30T01:40:41Z 2026-06-28T00:39:51Z
