The job fair, hosted by Carson in cooperation with Ivy Tech Community College and IUPUI, will be held on Friday, August 12 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the IUPUI Campus Center in downtown Indianapolis. "I know how hard it is for Hoosier families in this economy," said Congressman Carson. "Far too many suffer the financial and emotional strains of unemployment or underemployment, which is why I am hosting this year's job fair. We expect a broad array of companies who want to hire Hoosiers from across Indianapolis." Last year over 90 employers with a total of 2,000 job openings attended. In addition to assisting Hoosiers with new career opportunities, the job fair will offer workshops on interviewing and resume writing.
