The purpose of the event is to help connect young people in the Indianapolis area to a variety of local jobs, volunteer positions, and other enrichment opportunities. No RSVP is needed to participate. At the time of the event, people can attend by clicking the link to the event on Rep. Carson's official website, Carson.House.gov. In previous years, Rep. Carson held this fair in-person at Indianapolis' Central Library. This year, due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, he is holding the event on a virtual platform to allow members of the community to participate safely and conveniently. The platform, called Booth Central, allows participants to video chat with exhibitors about the opportunities they have.
