It is his assessment of the information provided, made in just two days and unchecked by any outside source. And as it stands now, this summary is far from a full exoneration of the President or his inner circle. This is why it is so critical that the full report and all underlying documentation be immediately delivered to Congress and the American people. The House Intelligence Committee will continue its independent investigation, now aided by the findings in this report. Congress as a whole will need to review this report and determine what steps it should take as a separate but equal branch of government. This could take time. But it is critical that we get the next steps right to ensure that we effectively protect ourselves against future meddling and hold those responsible accountable.
