https://castor.house.gov/news/documentsingle.aspx?DocumentID=403723 Rep. Castor: New Report on Child Tax Credit for Tampa Bay families Shows $172.6M Delivered in October 2021-11-02 2021 2021-11 Democrat House FL Kathy Castor C001066 castor.house.gov castor https://castor.house.gov/news/documentquery.aspx scraper U.S. Rep. Kathy Castor (FL14) released a new report from the Joint Economic Committee today on the impact of the new tax cut for most families with children, showing a total of $172.6 million in payments went into the pockets of hardworking families in the region. Across Florida, 2,283,000 monthly tax cuts went to families in October for a total of $938.6M. The average payment per household was $411. “Our children are back in the classroom learning and parents are looking ahead to the holiday season – there is truly no more critical time for these lifeline payments to land in the bank accounts of our Tampa Bay neighbors. The historic child tax credit payments are helping parents put food on the table, gas in their cars, purchase diapers, clothes, school supplies, and so much more. I am heartened to hear from our neighbors about how the tax cut for families is helping them while also giving the Tampa economy a boost as we bounce back from the Covid19 pandemic,” said Rep. Castor. “Putting Florida families and children first is how we Build Back Better in the days ahead.” 1 2026-03-30T01:40:41Z 2026-04-06T20:30:49Z
