From modernizing transit and making internet more affordable, to delivering cleaner water systems and restoring the Everglades—all while generating hundreds of thousands of good-paying jobs statewide,” said the Members. “President Biden and Congress delivered on the promise to upgrade our infrastructure, and these projects are improving quality of life for Floridians, creating new jobs, and growing the economy across our state for years to come.” Since the law’s passage, more than $14 billion in investments have been announced for over 389 specific projects across the state, including: $15.4 million to increase safety at railroad crossings and reduce deadly collisions in Broward County; $8.7 million to modernize and upgrade Palm Beach International Airport; $1.1 billion to accelerate critical Everglades restoration projects; $1.274 billion for Miami-Dade public transit and to upgrade and modernize Miami International and Opa-Locka Executive Airports; Over $2 billion across federal and state funds for the I-4 “Beyond the Ultimate” expansion, from Osceola Parkway to U.S. 27, to help fix traffic in Central Florida; Over $16.1 million to buy battery electric buses, electric cutaways, and charging equipment in Central Florida to replace diesel and gas vehicles that have reached their useful life; $12.6 million to expand and diversify Port Tampa Bay. 1 2026-03-30T01:40:41Z 2026-04-08T01:01:09Z
