Additionally, the Farm Bill’s nutrition programs provide critical nutrition assistance to millions of Americans. The current Farm Bill, which was passed in 2018 and reauthorized in 2023, will expire this year. Background: On May 24, 2024, the House Agriculture Committee passed the Farm, Food, and National Security Act of 2024 (H.R. 8467) to reauthorize the Farm Bill. In September 2024, Ciscomani joined a majority of his House Republican colleagues in a letter urging House GOP leadership to prioritize passage of a Farm Bill that meets the needs.
