The grants include: $4,370,009.48 to Lafayette City-Parish Consolidated Government for debris removal operations in response to Hurricane Delta. $4,221,016.27 to Port of Iberia for road repairs in response to Hurricane Laura. $3,492,719.02 to the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development for debris removal operations in response to Hurricane Laura. $2,188,504.02 to the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development for debris removal operations in response to Hurricane Laura. $48,001,937.00 to Calcasieu Parish Police Jury for debris removal operations in response to Hurricane Laura. $3,638,461.01 to the City of Lake Charles for management costs in response to Hurricane Laura. $1,108,781.27 to Hamilton Christian Academy for temporary facilities in response to Hurricane Laura. $8,588,992.06 to the Louisiana Office of Emergency Preparedness for emergency protective measures in response to Hurricane Delta. All funding will be delivered to the State of Louisiana. The state is responsible for disbursing the funds to each sub-recipient. Congressman Higgins issued the following statement: “A year after Hurricanes Laura and Delta, the federal government has delivered well over $1.4 billion in disaster relief. These latest reimbursements provide additional resources for the impacted parishes. My office continues to push for supplemental funding, ease of access to existing funds, and immediate access to direct grant monies.
