Recently, three school districts, two in Kentucky and one in Texas, closed schools down due to a lack of attendance from both teachers and students as many tested positive for COVID or had other illnesses. Mask mandates have begun to rise across the country as new variants are being reported. After reports broke of the new variants, the CDC recommended that individuals stop the spread by wearing masks, getting vaccinated and socially distancing. These recent shutdowns, mandates, and recommendations were a precursor to the pandemic back in 2020. 1 2026-03-30T01:40:41Z 2026-04-08T00:30:18Z
