There’s still a long battle ahead, but I truly believe this is a just fight, as it is in the defense of my constituents’ vote — which has been indefensibly impeded by Speaker Pelosi’s authoritarian actions. Furthermore, while it is true that Congress is a separate and coequal branch that has the authority to make its own rules for internal governance, it is also true that those rules still must abide by the U.S. Constitution. “Additionally, the flagrant hypocrisy and political games that have plagued this unconstitutional rule cannot go unchecked.
