The Airport Improvement Program (AIP) funding for MEM will reimburse costs for the deicing facility and pay for airfield signage and the reconstruction of the apron and a terminal. This fourth round of the Airport Improvement Program (AIP) grants, totaling $363 million nationwide, will fund a variety of projects such as planning, airport safety improvements, airport development, and airport noise compatibility grants. Congressman Cohen made the following statement: “The Memphis International Airport is an economic engine for our region and investments in its improvement are critical to our continuing to be a regional transportation crossroads and major international freight hub. This further investment in making MEM reliable during all seasons of the year ensures our success.” 1 2026-03-30T01:40:41Z 2026-04-07T21:36:13Z
