The University of Memphis will receive $659,341 for its part of the project under the direction of Assistant Professor of Instruction and Curriculum Leadership Olayinka Mohorn-Mintah. Congressman Cohen made the following statement: “I am pleased to see St. Jude and the University of Memphis working together to address equity in the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM). This project supports research on projects investigating how considerations of racial equity factor into improvements in STEM education and the development of a technically proficient workforce.
