Thompson of Mississippi,Chairman of the Homeland Security Committee, will preside over thehearing which will examine the August 7 massive raids on seven poultry processing facilities in six locations.This wasthe largest single-state immigration raid in U.S. history, which was conducted by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Southern District of Mississippi. The hearing will look into the impact of these raids on immigrant communities and Trump Administration enforcement policies that ignore existing directives and guidance in place to minimize the impact ofICE interior enforcement actions on American communities.
