https://cole.house.gov/media-center/press-releases/cole-responds-revelations-rising-obamacare-premiums Cole Responds to Revelations of Rising Obamacare Premiums 2016-10-25 2016 2016-10 Republican House OK Tom Cole C001053 cole.house.gov     legacy Washington, D.C. – Congressman Tom Cole (OK-04) released the following statement on the current state of the Affordable Care Act, also known as Obamacare. Recently, the Obama Administration revealed that premiums for enrollees will rise 76 percent for Oklahomans next year.   “The Obama Administration has confirmed what we knew would become a reality: Obamacare is simply unaffordable and just does not work,” said Cole. “From the beginning, the system has been flawed in both quality and quantity. Premiums and deductibles are outrageous, people can’t access their doctors and insurance companies are frantically drawing back their participation. These are all real problems that are proof that one-size-fits-all healthcare simply does not work.”   “Since its initial passage, Republicans have predicted that Obamacare would fail, and it’s beginning to unfold right in front of us,” continued Cole. “I’m glad to support the blueprint that Republicans in Congress have set forward to replace this deeply flawed healthcare system. The Better Way Agenda will provide a healthcare system that embraces free markets, consumer choice and minimal regulations and mandates and puts back quality and consumer choice in American healthcare.”   ### 1 2026-03-30T12:14:52Z 2026-03-30T12:14:52Z
