Connolly received the appreciation award Wednesday at a ceremony at NVCC’s Woodbridge campus.College Provost Dr. Sam Hill presented the award to Connolly during the school’s Annual Military Appreciation Day. Hill praised Connolly’s advocacy on behalf of students who are veterans. Veterans account for more than 10 percent of NVCC’s student body. NVCC is one of the largest community college systems in the nation and is recognized as one of the best.“Our nation has a sacred trust with our veterans, our service members, and their families,” Connolly said. “They have sacrificed for us and our nation.
