Securing more than $34,000 in federal grant dollars for Burnsville, Inver Grove Heights, and West St. Paul Police Departments to purchase necessary equipment to keep local communities safe Leading efforts to get the Public Safety Officer Support Act signed into law, to ensure that officers can access disability benefits for post-traumatic stress disorder – and that families of officers who lost their lives to trauma-linked suicide can apply for the death benefits that they deserve Introducing the Invest to Protect Act, which would provide funding for small and mid-sized police departments to invest in recruiting, training, equipment, mental health support and other priorities Cosponsoring the Protect and Serve Act, which would enhance federal penalties for individuals who deliberately target law enforcement officers with violence Urging the Department of Justice to provide additional funds to the Inver Grove Heights Police Department, West St. Paul Police Department, South St. Paul Police Department and Burnsville Police Department to hire additional police officers and address staffing shortages ### 1 2026-03-30T01:40:41Z 2026-04-08T02:59:24Z
