Congressman Kevin Cramer announced today that Communications Director Adam Jorde is departing his Washington office and Jason Stverak is returning to the office as Deputy Chief of Staff. Adam Jorde will join NTCAThe Rural Broadband Association as Director of Government Affairs onDecember 21, 2017. NTCAThe Rural Broadband Association represents nearly 850 independent, community-based telecommunications companies that are leading innovation in rural and small-town America. As Cramers lead telecommunications aide, Jorde focused on policy issues within the House Energy and Commerce Subcommittee on Communications and Technology. He also worked as a lead staffer in the House Rural Broadband Caucus where Cramer is a founding co-chair. Since 2013, Jorde has served on Capitol Hill in various communications, policy, and administrative positions for Rep. Kevin Cramer and Sen. John Thune (R-S.D.). A native of Cando N.D., Jorde received his Bachelor of Arts degrees in Business Administration and Spanish from Augustana University in Sioux Falls, S.D. I appreciate the dedication and hard work Adam hasgivenme and the people of North Dakota, said Cramer. Growing up in rural America, Adam has witnessed the digital divide firsthand, and understands the critical and competitive importance of high-speed broadband to education, health care, and economic development. I wish him the best in his new role and I have no doubt hell continue to be a tireless advocate for rural America. Cramer also announced the hiring of Jason Stverak as his Deputy Chief of Staff. Jason will be responsible for communications and will serve as the congressmans foreign policy advisor. Prior to rejoining Congressman Cramers official staff, Jason most recently served as Legislative Director and Lobbyist for Christians United for Israel (CUFI) Action Fund. With more than 3.8 million members, Christians United for Israel is the largest pro-Israel organization in the United States and one of the leading Christian grassroots movements in the world. Jason served as the Executive Director of the North Dakota Republican Party from 2001 to 2007, and later founded the Franklin Center for Government and Public Integrity, a non-profit journalism organization. Jason brings a wealth of experience on North Dakotas issues, and relationships with its people. His understanding of media and the important foreign policy issues facing our nation will be a benefit to my office as he works on behalf of North Dakota and its citizens, said Cramer.
