Cramer, a co-chair of the House Northern Border Caucus, was an original cosponsor of the resolution. “Canada is one of our strongest allies and friends, and I’m happy to see the House of Representatives double down on supporting our northern neighbor” said Cramer. “Through our strategic partnerships on national security, energy, agriculture, and other bilateral trade deals, having Canada by our side makes North America stronger as a whole, and I look forward to an even stronger relationship in the future.” H. Res. 357 reaffirms the strong relationship between the U.S. and Canada, and recognizes that it has advanced U.S. national interests and urges increased cooperation on security, energy and economic issues. The resolution supports stronger trade relations, and encourages grater security collaboration in defense, border security, cyber security, and Arctic security.
