"Rick" Crawford | C001087 | crawford.house.gov | crawford | https://crawford.house.gov/media/press-releases | scraper | WASHINGTON, D.C.— Congressman Rick Crawford (AR-01) released the following statement after the United States Senate confirmed Former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee as the next U.S. Ambassador to the State of Israel. "Today is a momentous day for the long-standing relationship between the U.S. and Israel. There is no stronger advocate and friend of Israel than Governor Huckabee. For decades, he has been a staunch defender of Israel's right to exist and protect its people. I could not think of a more qualified leader to serve in this critical role. As the 44th Governor of Arkansas, Governor Huckabee led our state to great heights and cultivated a sense of leadership that has continued to flourish long after his final day in office. At a time when one of our greatest allies needs our support more than ever, there is no doubt Governor Huckabee will masterfully navigate our two nations through these tense times. I offer Governor Huckabee my most sincere congratulations." ### | 1 | 2026-04-04T05:28:40Z | 2026-04-04T05:30:10Z |
