This year, the event was held during National Law Enforcement Week, and many local and state officers and the U.S. Capitol Police Bomb Squad joined. Also in attendance were bomb technicians from all branches of the military as well as the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Office of Bombing Prevention, and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives. Rep. Crawford is a co-founder of the Explosive Ordinance Disposal Caucus. As a second-generation bomb tech himself, he now has an opportunity as a member of Congress to raise awareness of the work that bomb squads do to keep our communities safe from explosives. "It's an honor to host this event once again and to be back together as a joint EOD Community," Rep. Crawford said.
