Jason Crow voted to pass H.R. 4502, a package of seven government funding bills that focus on investing in America. Crow secured $7.95 million in community project funding for Colorado's 6th Congressional District in the legislation, including: $1,700,000 for the Village Exchange Center Facility Renovation Project; $1,350,000 for the City of Aurora Safe Outdoor Spaces Project; $1,000,000 for the Douglas County Generational Opportunities to Achieve Long-Term Success (GOALS) Program; $1,000,000 for the Aurora Comprehensive Community Mental Health Center; $1,000,000 for the Underrepresented Minority Pipeline for Health Professions at CU Anschutz Medical Campus; $950,000 for the Crnic Institute Immune Monitoring Station; $500,000 for the Black Health Initiative Infant Prematurity and Infant Mortality Project at Children's Hospital Colorado; and $450,000 for the At-Risk Intervention and Mentoring Program at UC Health. "I work every day to deliver for the community. As we recover from one of the worst public health crises in American history, this government funding package makes critical investments in Colorado families to make us stronger, safer, and more resilient. This legislation will fund a range of projects at home - from violence intervention programs, mental health services, and shelter and services for our unhoused neighbors," said Rep. Jason Crow. This funding — nearly $8 million across eight different projects— is an historic investment in the families, businesses, and futures of CO-06. In addition, the minibus includes Crow's amendment to increase funding for SCORE, the nation's largest network of volunteer, expert business mentors, to $21.7 million. The amendment, which passed today on the House floor, would help build businesses and create jobs. "Since 1964, SCORE has helped more than 11 million entrepreneurs start and grow their business," said Rep. Jason Crow. "I'm proud to secure passage of this amendment today to increase funding to SCORE, which could lead to the creation of over 100,0000 additional new businesses and jobs. This is a commonsense way we can help would-be entrepreneurs and job creators rebuild and recover from COVID-19."
