While this bill is not perfect, it will certainly provide South Floridians and families across the country an opportunity to prosper.As a Member of Ways and Means, I have been a strong supporterofexpanding the child tax credit to make sure our new simplified tax code leaves America's hard-working families more prosperous. Thanks to the tireless leadership and advocacy of Florida's Senator Marco Rubio, this important benefit was further strengthened in the Senate and has been solidified in this final legislation. Im glad the Conference Committee heeded our calls to make the child tax credit even more robust. American families deserve no less. We still have a lot of critical issues that need to be addressed next week, including a permanent solution for DACA recipients, funding of the Childrens Health Insurance Program, and hurricane disaster relief.
