The PACT Act is the most significant expansion of VA healthcare in more than 30 years. Since its implementation last month, scammers are targeting newly eligible veterans claiming to offer expedited access to PACT Act-related claims that will not be available until January 2023. “We have a moral obligation to care for those who sacrificed to serve our country, and that includes ensuring veterans receive the entirety of the benefits they rightfully earned,” said Rep. Davidson. Serving our country is free, but for some it costs everything. America must accept accountability to care for those harmed, and work to protect veterans that once did the same for us.” The lawmakers state, “We respectfully ask that your agency use every available resource to ensure a smooth process for the millions of newly eligible veterans submitting disability claims.
