| https://davids.house.gov/media/press-releases/davids-earns-us-chamber-commerce-spirit-enterprise-award | Davids Earns U.S. Chamber of Commerce “Spirit of Enterprise Award” | 2020-06-23 | 2020 | 2020-06 | Democrat | House | KS | Sharice Davids | D000629 | davids.house.gov | legacy | Representative Sharice Davids received the U.S. Chamber of Commerce's prestigious Spirit of Enterprise Award for her support of pro-growth economic policies and bipartisan leadership during the 116th Congress. Lawmakers are selected for this award based on their record of support for business-friendly policies, as well as their commitment to bipartisan leadership and constructive governing. It's an honor to be recognized by the U.S. Chamber for my work to advance pro-growth policies that will help move our community forward, particularly in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic, said Davids. Entrepreneurship is baked into the DNA of the Kansas Third District, and I'm proud to work with my colleagues in both parties to make sure our local businesses have the tools they need to take care of their employees, grow their companies, and contribute to our economy. In these uncertain times with daunting economic and social challenges facing our nation, it is imperative that leaders in Washington are focused on propelling American businesses forward to create jobs and economic growth from California to Maine, said Thomas J. Donohue, CEO of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. As we rebuild our economy, legislators must lead by pursuing bipartisan solutions that create jobs and promote a free enterprise system. I'm proud to recognize these 259 Members of Congress for their commitment to driving opportunity and prosperity in America's workforce and on Main Streets across the nation. Davids is a member of the House Small Business Committee where she recently introduced legislation to help small businesses produce supplies like face masks and ventilators needed to fight the coronavirus, as well as legislation to increase transparency in small businesses relief programs. | 1 | 2026-03-30T12:14:52Z | 2026-03-30T12:14:52Z |
