It was also conducted without the consultation of Congress, and I have yet to see the Administration demonstrate to Congress that there was an imminent threat necessitating such an escalatory attack. That's why I voted to pass a War Powers resolution limiting the President's military actions regarding Iran unless Congress authorizes them, or unless the use is necessary to defend against an imminent armed attack on the United States or our armed forces.
