As Chairman of the House Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure, which has jurisdiction over the EDA, DeFazio played a leading role in securing this funding in the CARES Act. I am proud to have helped secure this important funding for the Coquille Tribe. Tribal nations continue struggling to access affordable, quality, and attentive health care. The new Ko-Kwel Wellness Center will be a game changer for the Coquille Nation, DeFazio said. The Ko-Kwel Wellness Center will be located on the Kilkich Reservation and improve access to basic medical services for tribe members in the Coos Bay and North Bend area.
