We know this train was the first southbound Amtrak Cascades departure from Seattle to use the new Point Defiance Bypass route through south Tacoma, Lakewood, and Joint Base Lewis-McChord. Even in the face of this devastating situation, our first responders and community put aside their grief and stepped up to help.
