Charlie Dent (PA-15) announced his support today for the inclusion of the provisions of the James Zadroga 9/11 Health and Compensation and Victim Compensation Fund Reauthorizations within the framework of the Omnibus Budget deal. Rep. Dents statement: Im proud of the bipartisan decision made to provide a long-term reauthorization of the World Trade Center Health Program and the 9/11 Victim Compensation Fund in the Fiscal Year 2016 omnibus appropriations bill. A number of individuals who were exposed to toxins and pollutants as a result of the horrific attacks of September 11, including Pennsylvanias first responders who answered the call for help, are still suffering from injuries and side effects. Many of those who provided assistance at Ground Zero as part of rescue and recovery efforts are suffering long-term health issues as a result of their valiant service. Its critical that we ensure that long-term funding will be available to meet their needs, which is why I applaud the inclusion of these important provisions within this bill.
