"Access to health care in eastern North Carolina remains my top priority. These grants are crucial in ensuring that individuals are not left behind and can access necessary vaccines and treatment,” said Congressman Don Davis. “It is a testament to the hard work community organizations do to help families across the East, and these funds will make a real difference and save lives.” The FY 2023 Bridge Access Program allocated the following grants for NC-01: Bertie County Rural Health Association: $12,404 Gateway Community Health Centers, Inc.: $19,691 Roanoke Chowan Community Health Center, Inc.: $30,956 Rural Health Group, Inc.: $67,229 Carolina Family Health Centers, Inc.: $143,662 Greene County Health Care, Incorporated: $422,030 The HHS Bridge Access Program will create a $1.1 billion public-private partnership to help maintain uninsured individuals’ access to COVID-19 care at their local pharmacies, through existing public health infrastructure, and at their local health centers.
