Northeast Georgians had anticipated this decision pending the release of the agency’s full report of the fish hatchery system. Congressman Collins formally requested a decision from FWS Director Dan Ashe in September of this year amid concerns that the Chattahoochee Forest National Fish Hatchery in Fannin County was at risk of closure.
