Many of these workers are now wondering how they will pay their bills and provide for their families. This bill stands up for those who show up—paying federal workers what we owe them, shutdown or not.” Rep. Johnson has filed the necessary paperwork to ensure his pay is withheld throughout the shutdown. The Shutdown Fairness Act is cosponsored by U.S. Representatives Tony Wied (R-WI), Stephanie Bice (R-OK), Darrell Issa (R-CA), Mike Lawler (R-NY), Tracey Mann (R-KS), Austin Scott (R-GA), and Mariannette Miller-Meeks (R-IA).
