The grant was administered under the department's Early Head Start program which targets pre-school aged children and families. Investing in early childhood education is an investment in our future, said Congresswoman Johnson. The benefits of exposing children at a young age to the classroom sets them on a trajectory of increased knowledge, better social skills and a lifelong appreciation of learning. I am delighted to congratulate Lumin Education on receiving this funding and look forward to the great number of District 30 residents and children they will be able to serve in the coming years.
