Emmer sent three letters addressing concerns ranging from mental health and education to domestic energy production as part of the Fiscal Year 2023 appropriations process. “Minnesota’s farmers and rural communities devote their lives to feeding and fueling our great state. However, rising input costs, frequent labor shortages, and challenges accessing mental health care have placed tremendous burdens on the backs of those working day-in and day-out to move our country forward,” Emmer said. “We must support those who do so much for our country and ensure Americans can rely on them for years to come,” Emmer concluded. Emmer’s efforts include: A letter asking that the Department of Health and Human Services strategize how best to deliver accessible and timely mental health care for rural Americans; A letter requesting continued support for the Biodiesel Fuel Education Program, which stimulates the consumption of American-produced biofuels; A letter urging full funding for the Cooperative Extension System (CES), which included 4-H programs and serves nearly six million young people nationwide. ###	1	2026-03-30T01:40:41Z	2026-04-08T02:39:01Z
