Estes. "While this funding bill is critical for our national security, I voted against the second budget bill for domestic spending. I fought to include several key provisions in the bill including grants for water improvement projects such as the Equus Beds Aquifer that provides water for Wichita and the surrounding region and the SECURE Act to provide greater retirement security for more Americans. I'm pleased these provisions can now go into law, but ultimately couldn't vote for the final spending package because of the irresponsible level of overall spending added by House Democrats. In Congress, I'll continue to fight to cut government spending and limit the size of government."
