Today's bill passed 366-34, and follows a previous CR adamantly opposed by Rep. Estes that never made it to the House floor, as well as the CR that failed yesterday. "This week is a reminder that the appropriations and funding process in D.C. is broken – while the House made progress this year by passing five of 12 appropriations bills, the Democrat-led Senate passed none, leading us once again into government-wide Christmastime funding gridlock," said Rep. Estes. "A CR is not a good way to run the greatest country on earth, but this bill does support our Kansas farmers and is far better than the 1,500-plus page Washington wish list that I and many Kansans soundly rejected earlier this week.
