Rep. Jenkins spoke with HUD Deputy Assistant Secretary for Public Housing Dominique Blom on Wednesday to express his strong support for the Huntington Housing Authoritys application for a HUD Development Choice Neighborhoods Planning and Action grant. He has also contacted HUD Secretary Ben Carson to bring Huntingtons grant application to his attention. The city has applied for a grant of up to $1.3 million to implement the citys Fairfield Choice Neighborhood Revitalization project. I was very pleased with the conversation I had with Deputy Assistant Secretary Blom about how important this funding is for the city of Huntington. The Fairfield Choice Neighborhood Revitalization project is an important step forward for our community, and I will continue to push for funding for this important grant, Rep.
