The House voted nearly two months ago to reauthorize this critical program, yet Senate Democrats werent on board. Todays vote provides about $3 billion for CHIP, and I hope my colleagues will set aside partisan politics and vote to secure this critical program for West Virginias children, Rep. Jenkins said. The bills passed by the House today provide about $3 billion in short-term CHIP money to keep state CHIP programs funded, as well as continued funding for community health centers. It also includes more than $30 million in continued flood relief and mitigation efforts for West Virginia through the Community Development Block Grant program. The legislation also provides critical funding and support for our military and national defense. The House passed a five-year reauthorization bill in November, which Rep. Jenkins strongly supported, but the full Senate has yet to take up a CHIP reauthorization bill.	1	2026-03-30T12:14:52Z	2026-03-30T12:14:52Z
