She noted that able-bodied adults in Medicaid expansion can receive up to nine times more federal funding than individuals living with disabilities in the traditional program. It is not fair for the federal government to spend more on those who can work—but choose not to—than on those living with a disability. Fedorchak also highlighted that according to the non-partisan Congressional Budget Office, 1.4 million illegal immigrants are projected to receive Medicaid benefits, diverting resources from the people the program was designed to serve.
