The roadshow is based on the Be Internet Awesome curriculum, which focuses on five tips for staying safe and being smart online: Share content with care Don’t fall for fake online scams Secure your information with strong passwords Be kind to others online When in doubt, talk it out with a trusted adult. “Today’s students are growing up in an increasingly digital world, and they need the tools to navigate it safely,” Fedorchak said. “I appreciate Google bringing the Online Safety Roadshow to North Dakota and helping equip students with practical skills to protect themselves online. We can’t emphasize the importance of treating others with respect and kindness enough, and I’m glad that is a core part of this program.” Image Image During the 45-minute interactive assembly, students learned important skills, including how to create a safe and memorable password, why it’s important to take breaks from screens, the value of being kind online, and how to increase AI literacy through understanding and critical thinking about AI.
