Randy Feenstra (R-Hull), the U.S. House of Representatives unanimously passed five pieces of legislation to support small businesses. “Small businesses are the backbone of our Main Streets and keep our communities strong and vibrant. In Iowa alone, small businesses employ the vast majority of Iowans, delivering good-paying jobs, driving investment in our communities, and powering economic growth across our state’s 99 counties. Ensuring that Iowa small businesses have the resources and support they need to grow and thrive is a top priority for me,” said Rep. Feenstra. “That’s why I’m glad that, with my strong support, the U.S. House of Representatives unanimously passed several pieces of legislation to support Iowa’s small businesses, including Iowa manufacturing and our rural business community. In Congress, I’ll keep working with President Trump to create jobs, grow our economy, and support our Iowa small businesses.” The pieces of legislation are as follows: The Investing in All of America Act, which would encourage Small Business Investment Company programs to deploy capital in manufacturing and rural communities. The Made in America Manufacturing Finance Act, which would raise the maximum loan amounts for small businesses to $10 million under two SBA loan guarantee programs. The SBA IT Modernization Reporting Act, which would require the SBA to implement the recommendations contained in the Government Accountability Office’s November 2024 report relating to lack of oversight by the Biden Administration during its overhaul of the SBA’s contracting certification program. The SBA Fraud Enforcement Extension Act, which would extend the statute of limitations to 10 years for violations related to grants provided under the Shuttered Venue Operators program and the Restaurant Revitalization program. The Office of Rural Affairs Enhancement Act, which would require the SBA Office of Rural Affairs to be headed by a qualified Assistant Administrator to improve accountability and effectiveness in supporting economic development in rural areas. ### | 1 | 2026-03-30T01:40:41Z | 2026-04-06T20:09:11Z |
