The trade war, the administration's attack on biofuels, the ongoing pandemic and the recent derecho have all pushed Iowa farmers to the brink, making these payments promised by the USDA more essential than ever. "Leadership in the House and Senate must agree on replenishing the CCC without delay, just as they must come together on a coronavirus relief package with additional aid for families, workers, first responders and local governments. "After all we've been through in 2020, now is not the time to be playing politics with aid to farmers or the assistance needed to save our families and local economies from economic disaster. I call on House leadership to fully replenish the CCC and find a bipartisan agreement on pandemic relief and I support keeping Congress in session for as long as it takes to do it."
