Fischbach Announces Congressional App Challenge 2021-06-30 2021 2021-06 Republican House MN Michelle Fischbach F000470 fischbach.house.gov fischbach https://fischbach.house.gov/press-releases scraper WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congresswoman Michelle Fischbach (MN-7) invites middle and high school students from across Minnesota’s Seventh District to participate in the 2021 Congressional App Challenge. “I am proud to announce our office’s participation in the Congressional App Challenge. There has never been a more important time to highlight the value of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) education,” said Congresswoman Fischbach. “I invite all students, regardless of their level of experience with coding, to participate, and I look forward to reviewing the many wonderful submissions.” Background: The Congressional App Challenge accepts computer programs (apps) written in any programming language, such as C, C++, Java, JavaScript, Python, Ruby, or “block code,” and for any platform, including desktop/PC, web, tablet, mobile, raspberry Pi, or other devices. The competition is open to all middle and high school students who meet eligibility requirements. Students may register as individuals, either in the district in which they reside or the district in which they attend school, or as teams made up of no more than four students, though at least half of the teammates must be eligible to compete in the district in which they are participating. Students are encouraged to register online by September 10, 2021; the deadline for submitting an app is November 1, 2021. Winners will be eligible to be featured on display in the U.S. Capitol building and on the Congressional App Challenge website. For more information, please see the submission guidelines or visit the official site of the Congressional App Challenge. 1 2026-03-30T01:40:41Z 2026-04-06T19:57:00Z
