Fischbach (MN-07). “I appreciate seeing young men and women from Minnesota’s Seventh Congressional District who are passionate about serving our country. This path is not an easy one, but one that should be celebrated and encouraged as these students dedicate themselves to our great nation. They are already leaders in their communities and have the potential to go on to lead through their service to the United States of America.” Congresswoman Fischbach is nominating Alexander Assih of St. Joseph to the U.S. Naval Academy; Isaac Bollerud of Canby to the U.S. Air Force Academy; Margo Klaassen of Willmar to the U.S. Air Force, U.S. Merchant Marine, and U.S. Naval Academies, and West Point; Owen Kliniske of East Grand Forks to the U.S. Naval Academy; Maxim Mabee of Olivia to the U.S. Air Force Academy; Carson Meyer of Glenwood to the U.S. Air Force and the U.S. Naval Academies; Adison Newman of Alexandria to the U.S. Naval and U.S. Air Force Academies, and West Point; Riley Scherping of Cushing to the U.S. Air Force and U.S. Naval Academies, and West Point; Nicholas Sprang of Little Falls to the U.S. Air Force and U.S. Naval Academies, and West Point; and Brady Steffen of Moorhead to the U.S. Air Force Academy. If the students are accepted, upon their graduation from the academy, the cadets will earn a Bachelor of Science degree and will have become commissioned officers in the U.S. military. The students would also serve a minimum of five years in active-duty service to our country.
