The deadline for states to apply for funding is November 5, 2025. Created under the Working Families Tax Cuts signed into law by President Trump earlier this year, the RHT Program provides a $50 billion investment to strengthen rural healthcare by improving patient outcomes, expanding access to healthcare, and supporting providers and caregivers. “Rural communities in Wisconsin have fewer healthcare facilities and patients have longer travel times to see a doctor,” said Congressman Fitzgerald. “The Rural Health Transformation Program is a historic opportunity to reverse this trend and deliver real solutions for patients and small-town hospitals across our state. I was proud to vote for the Tax Cuts for Working Families legislation that made this possible. Governor Evers must act quickly and take advantage of this historic opportunity for Wisconsin.” The letter was co-signed by Reps.
