As I continue to work on behalf of Texas’ Seventh Congressional District, I will continue to promote ethics, accountability, and transparency throughout our government.” Last month, the House Committee on Ethics unanimously adopted its Investigative Subcommittee’s (ISC’s) report concluding that there was substantial evidence that Congressman Santos knowingly caused his campaign committee to file false or incomplete reports with the Federal Election Commission; used campaign funds for personal purposes; engaged in fraudulent conduct; and engaged in knowing and willful violations of the Ethics in Government Act as it relates to his Financial Disclosure Statements filed with the House. Expulsion requires the yes votes of two-thirds of the body.
