This has been a constant since the founding era, but is under threat from secularism today. It is up to us to preserve the morality and stability brought to society by our Christian values.” Congressman Rooney has written extensively on religion, including an op-ed series published in May regarding the role of religious freedom in society and how religious freedom can combat Islamic extremism. He previously served as United States Ambassador to the Holy See under President George W. Bush from 2005 to 2008. The speech will occur on Thursday, December 14th at 7:00 PM.
